The Rainbow Bridge For Horses
Author Unknown

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
when their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
is a place where beloved creatures find rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
til The Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed.
Their bodies have healed with strength imbued.

They trot through the grass without even a care,
til one day they whinny and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes sharp and alert.
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the herd.

For just at that second, there's no room for remorse.
As they see each other...one person...one horse.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart
has turned to joy once more in each heart.
They nuzzle with a love that will last forever.
And then, side-by-side, they cross over...together.

On Friday evening, one of our old boys said his goodbyes to his ladies and crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully and full of love. Art Major/Hank was 23 years old and was full of love. He loved anybody who would give him the time of day. He was such a gentle stallion and a gentle soul and will be missed dearly.

Our old girl Nikita joined her boy, Oz across the Rainbow Bridge on September 22nd. She had served us well and had been retired for two years before she let us know she was ready and trusted we would be okay without her. Being part wolf, she fought till the very end, no matter what.
We will remember her with bright eyes and as the leader of the pack!

Our boy Ozzie was unfortunately taken from us tragically in a hit and run. Thankfully he didn't suffer and passed instantly, but it still breaks our hearts to have him gone. We will remember Oz with his big loving eyes, and wagging tail that shook his whole body.

With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of one of our most beloved horse Raskal. At the age of 29 Raskal brought joy to many lives and he will certainly never be forgotten.

Raskal, who was a Polish Arab crossed the rainbow bridge Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 of a stroke.

Gabby

Sadly in early December we said goodbye to the beautiful Gabby. Considering the vets said she wouldn't live past the age of 2, this warrior made it to the age of 22 before deciding to cross the rainbow bridge.

Unfortunately in October of 2013 we had to say goodbye to Rilla. She was 25.
It was a sad day, but she was surrounded by people who loved her and she's now playing over the rainbow bridge!
